Step 1: Gateway Security

  1. Navigate to the Load Balancing service

  1. Open Gateway Security tab

  1. Copy & paste the certificate, certificate key and CA certificate (if it was provided)

For testing purposes you can obtain a free SSL certificate valid for 90 days here.

  1. Click Upload Gateway Certificates. Uploading certificates to the load balancer requires root privileges. Provide Root password and click OK

  1. Toggle Enable SSL for Gateway option

  1. Go back to load balancer Status tab. Click Restart Load Balancer. Provide Root password and click OK

  1. Confirm the Config Status shows the gateway as secured now.

  1. Open the load balancer URL to check if the changes were applied

  1. (Optional) Check the certificate details

Great! You have secured the traffic between your customers and the load balancer with SSL!
